Refund & Warranty Policy


Thermo Auto Parts (Pty) Ltd


Effective Date: 1 January 2025

At Thermo Auto Parts (Pty) Ltd, we take pride in supplying high-quality automotive air-conditioning components. This Refund & Warranty Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds and warranty claims are accepted.

1. Refund Policy

​

We strive to ensure customer satisfaction and stand behind the quality of our products. However, refunds are only granted under the following conditions:

​

  • The product is unused, uninstalled, and returned in its original packaging.

  • The return is requested within 7 days of purchase, accompanied by proof of purchase.

  • All returns must be authorized in writing by Thermo Auto Parts (Pty) Ltd prior to dispatch.

  • Refunds will be processed once the product has been inspected and approved.

  • A handling or restocking fee may apply where applicable.

Please note: No refunds will be granted for electrical items, installed parts, or special orders.

​

2. Warranty Policy

​

Thermo Auto Parts (Pty) Ltd offers a limited warranty on A/C compressors, subject to the following terms and conditions:

Warranty Period

​

  • The warranty period shall be specified by the seller, not to exceed 12 months from the installation date.

  • Compressors must be returned to Thermo Auto Parts within 14 days of the reported failure for warranty consideration.

​

3. Warranty Claim Eligibility—Dealer/Installer Requirements

​

To be eligible for a warranty claim, the following conditions must be met:

​

A. Documentation Requirements

​

  • The TA-W1 & TA-W2 Warranty Forms must be fully completed.

  • Forms must be submitted to sales@thermoautoparts.com within 14 days of compressor purchase.

  • Failure to submit forms on time will render the warranty null and void.

​

B. Mandatory Replacement of System Components (with NEW parts only)

​

  • Receiver drier / accumulator

  • Expansion valve or orifice tube

  • Condenser (must be NEW)

  • Evaporator – Required only for specific vehicle applications (please confirm with us if unsure)

Please note: Reuse of old or refurbished components will void the warranty.

​

C. Flushing and Oil Requirements

​

  • The A/C system must be thoroughly flushed using a Thermo Auto Parts-approved flushing solvent and suitable equipment.

  • Only original equipment or Thermo Auto Parts-specified compressor oil may be used, following manufacturer viscosity and volume requirements.

  • Oil types (e.g. PAG or ester) must not be mixed. Contact us if unsure.

D. Refrigerant Requirements

​

  • Only R134A refrigerant may be used where specified.

  • Mixing refrigerants will void the warranty.

  • Refrigerant quantity must comply with vehicle specifications.

​

E. Contamination and Installer Fault

​

  • Compressors returned with signs of contamination, especially in the suction port, or installation damage will be rejected.

​

4. Warranty Limitations

​

  • The warranty covers replacement of the compressor only (new or reconditioned, at our discretion).

  • It does not cover any labor, refrigerant, other A/C parts, vehicle damage, or incidental costs.

  • Thermo Auto Parts (Pty) Ltd reserves the sole right to determine if the product qualifies for a warranty claim based on the criteria above.

5. Final Decision

​

Thermo Auto Parts (Pty) Ltd retains full and exclusive discretion to approve or deny any warranty claim. No warranty shall be honored unless all the above requirements are met in full.
